Tuesday, June 30, 2015
In the spotlight this week is Liam Sykes who started work as a ‘Machine Operator’ at PMS Diecasting, earlier this year.
Liam is 23 and originally from Doncaster but has lived in Sheffield for the last six years and currently living with his in-laws and his fiance Tammy in Rawmarsh and they are saving for their own house.
His past jobs include working as a ‘Machine Operator’ at R3 Products, making reinforced ground grids on injection moulding machines and sheet plastic on a purpose built extrusion line. He also worked at Border Metals as a ‘Warehouse Assistant’ which involved steel stockholding in a warehouse dealing with high nickel content alloy steels.
Liam’s passions include his two pet Staffordshire Bull Terrier’s, Llana and Skye and also fishing! He is a keen carp angler travelling up and down the country in his spare time, in search of big carp. He also loves motorsports such as Moto GP, British Touring Cars and Isle of Man TT. He’s also played the drums for the past 8 years!
We asked Liam “What would be the most important thing to achieve on your bucket list?..”
“I don’t have one specific thing but would love to go over and watch the Isle of Man TT, buy a house and go to France to catch big carp…”
