PMS diecasting continues to win more and more clients.  The market conditions are extremely tough but with a sense of purpose and a determination to eliminate un-necessary operations and handling we can keep driving prices lower.

After a strategy meeting involving PMS senior management we decided to keep reviewing our methods of manufacture to continue driving down prices and keep the new business coming through the door. It is well known within the industry that customers buying zinc diecastings are paying too much - it is incredible that new tooling and products designs are being neglected which could save up to 25% of their current diecasting spend.

A message to potential customers - if you are considering a new diecasting supplier don’t spend money on tooling until you discuss the project with PMS.

  1. Look at the total cost - tooling and castings over the term of the project and ask for a full casting price breakdown
  2. Check the diecaster’s accounts - they may well be in financial difficulty
  3. You could be wasting your tooling budget - paying too much or getting a poor quality tool from diecasters looking to make a quick profit.  At PMS we have no tool maintenance charges, these are all absorbed in our overhead rates so there are no hidden charges or tooling contracts.  The tooling you buy is yours and you are free to take tooling away if you are not happy with the service PMS provides.
  4. Look for innovation and latest technology machines - they deliver consistent quality at faster cycle times.  Ask for a plant list with date of manufacture for the machines.
