Product Design Assistance
PMS Diecasting has considerable experience designing tooling to ensure the customer’s product are manufactured with the most cost effective solution. The senior design team - Gordon Panter, Simon Woodward and Andrew Millard work closely with product designers to ensure their castings can be manufactured with the minimum material, operations and production times. Using robotic cells to carry out routine operations requires a great deal of engineering input, however the benefits are significant and this is what keeps PMS at the forefront of diecasting and robotic technology.
We also work in partnership with both Sheffield Universities and have two MSc graduates on a Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP), one developing a new range of Robot programmes and the other looking at the introduction of new manufacturing methods for tooling and core manufacture.
