PMS Diecasting works with both design agencies and in-house designers to produce cost effective and competitive zinc diecasting solutions.
Our technology and innovative approach aims to help you in the design process to ensure your designs have the competitive edge so it’s often useful to involve us as early as possible in the design stage.
The senior design team - Gordon Panter, Simon Woodward and Andrew Millard work closely with product designers to ensure their castings can be manufactured with the minimum material, operations and production times. Using robotic cells to carry out routine operations requires a great deal of engineering input, however the benefits are significant and this is what keeps PMS at the forefront of diecasting and robotic technology.
We like to suggest solutions and ideas and work with you to produce a bespoke tailored solution to tooling design that eliminates any unnecessary costs.
We also work in partnership with both Sheffield Universities and have two MSc graduates on a Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP), one developing a new range of Robot programmes and the other looking at the introduction of new manufacturing methods for tooling and core manufacture
You are more than welcome to visit our factory to see our latest machines and robotics and get a feel for how we work. Please contact us to arrange this or fill out the contact form with your design details and we will get in touch.
Zinc is often an inexpensive option when compared to other materials meaning your products can be produced more competitively with no loss of quality or efficiency. Using zinc rather than other materials often means your product will weigh less. We appreciate that you don’t just want to take our word for it and often invite clients to visit our zinc smelters to learn more about the strength and endurance of zinc so we can be sure it is the best material for your project
