Heady new heights for our MD
Sunday, May 20, 2012
Our own managing director, Gordon, will be scaling dizzy new heights in September as he climbs Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for Alice’s Escapes, a charity that facilitates free holidays in the Lake District for families with serious or terminally ill children.
Inspired by family friends and their terminally ill daughter, Alice, Gordon’s looking forward to a summer of treadmill sessions, endurance training and abstinence from alcohol in preparation for the climb! So, no summer Pimms please, but if you would like to sponsor Gordon it will all be worthwhile. You can donate to the inspirational work of Alice’s Escapes through Gordon’s Just Giving page – click here.
Go Tools launches
Thursday, May 10, 2012
PMS Diecasting Ltd is delighted to announce the launch of its toolmaking partnership GoTools Ltd, a 50:50 venture with PMS Diecasting and Steven Green, a press tooling design engineer with over 30 year experience in the tooling and pressed components industry.
Just as PMS Diecasting has challenged the traditional methods of diecasting and done this extremely successfully we are also challenging the traditional toolmaking approach. Using advanced metal cutting technologies and a mind set for production performance as well as dimensional accuracy, GoTools will deliver ‘Performance Tooling’.
GoTools will focus on Performance Tooling which has cycle time reduction, ease of maintenance and component standardisation as key drivers to ensure components are not only dimensionally correct but the production costs are significantly improved, saving time and money for our customers.
TS16949:2009 Automotive Standard
Saturday, November 5, 2011
With ISO9001 and ISO14001 it seems logical for PMS to further develop our quality methods and gain the Automotive Standard TS16949:2009. This will enable PMS to grow the business effectively with further controls in place to ensure we meet our customers’ high demands for quality and service.
It will also assist PMS developing the Aluminium side of the business which will be more focused on automotive work than zinc.
PMS expects to gain accreditation in November 2012 whcih is our next annual assessment.
