We engineer out all unnecessary costs and automate as much of the production process as possible to minimise cost and improve quality

 

Product Design

We help our customers design products that take into consideration tooling, production and finishing costs. We also use the technical services of Brock Metal for gating design to ensure maximum product quality.

Tooling

We match the right quality and style of tooling to the product design and most importantly of all – annual volumes. Tooling can be manufactured as a full tool or as a unit insert to fit in our standard bolster saving time and cost.

Diecasting

Our primary activity is zinc diecasting. We have high quality Frech Diecasting Machines with Real Time Control. This ensures total repeatability as each shot is performed within preset parameters and adjusted by the machine each shot to produce perfect consistent quality castings.

Robotics

Our aim is use robotics whenever possible. This does require high volume production of 250,000 or more castings per annum. The benefits of robotics can include in-line inspection, post casting operations and placement for zero exterior casting damage.

Machining

We endeavour to provide a fully finished casting for our customers and use automatic units with in-line inspection to ensure the highest quality process adherance. Drilling, tapping, insert loading and reaming are carried out on a daily basis.

Finishing

Bead blasting, powder coating and vibratory finishing are all carried out in-house.

Sub-Contract

Chrome plating, lead/tin plating, electrophoretic lacquering and passivates are provided by our sub-contract partners to very high quality standards.

Quality

Everything we do is carried out to our 9001:2000 quality policy and manual. Our systems and procedures are tailored to the customers individual requirements and documented on the Quality Management System available to all staff through the PMS intranet.
